Blade Strings Ltd. - UK Refund and Returns Policy

 

At Blade Strings Ltd., we are committed to providing high-quality instruments and excellent customer service. Our refund and returns policy is designed to be fair and transparent, and it is in full compliance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

 

1. Your Rights Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

 

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all products and services sold at our shop must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

If an item you purchase from us is faulty, defective, or not as described, you have specific rights to a remedy. The type of remedy you are entitled to depends on when the fault is discovered:

  • Within 30 Days: You have a "short-term right to reject" the goods and get a full refund if a fault is discovered within 30 days of purchase.

  • After 30 Days: If a fault is discovered after 30 days and within six months, you must give us one opportunity to repair or replace the item. If the repair or replacement is unsuccessful, or we fail to provide one, you are then entitled to a full refund.

  • After Six Months: The burden of proof shifts to you. You must be able to prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase.

 

2. 14-Day Approval Policy

 

We understand that choosing an instrument is a personal and important decision. To ensure your complete satisfaction, we offer a voluntary 14-day pre-purchase approval period for all instruments. This policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act. See our Approval Policy for full details.

 

3. Online and Distance Sales (The 14-Day "Cooling-Off" Period)

 

If a customer buys an instrument from us without being in our physical shop (a "distance contract"), they have an additional legal right to a "cooling-off" period.

  • Right to Cancel: The customer has a legal right to cancel their order for any reason and receive a full refund. This right applies for 14 calendar days from the day after the item is delivered.

  • Returning the Item: Once the customer has informed us of their decision to cancel, they have another 14 days to return the item.

  • Exclusions: This right does not apply to personalised or custom-made instruments.

 

4. Proof of Purchase

 

For all returns and exchanges, you must provide proof of purchase, such as your original receipt, credit card statement, or tax invoice.

 

5. How to Request a Return

 

To initiate a return, please visit our shop in person or contact us at enquiries@bladestrings.uk. We will guide you through the process and help you determine your eligibility for a refund, replacement, or repair.
